A coating is a hard, clear layer that bonds to the clear coat and stops sun, salt and bird mess from reaching it. Done properly it outlasts wax by years and makes every future wash faster.
The honest part: a coating locks in whatever is under it. Put one over swirled, etched paint and you have sealed the damage in for three years. So the paint is inspected first, corrected if it needs it, and if we think you are better off with a $99 wax than a $699 coating, we will say that on the phone rather than after we have your deposit.
